Sweet

1st photographic evidence of my baking!

I have been baking for a long time; my aunt Fran introduced me to baking when I little girl. We started off with the basics: apple tarts, sponge cakes, madeira cakes, porter cakes, Christmas cake, scones......

My love of sweet things is not new; thankfully I love running just as much or my dress size would still me a lot larger! Although I have been baking for years, photographing my baking results is not something I've normally done....but it is something I plan to do from now on.

In August 2011, my friends and I threw a baby shower for our dear friend Nicole....I made a cake....it is one of the few things I have made that there is photographic (albeit crude and messy......and yummy) evidence off :-)

It was a lemon curd and lemon buttercream layered lemon cake (I added some food colouring to the middle layer to make it pink), covered in lemon buttercream frosting. It tasted good, and was fitting in colour - Nicole's daughter Mia was born in Sept. 2011 :-)
